In order to promote exchanges between designers from both countries and provide opportunities for mutual expansion in celebration of the "2024-2025 Korea-Italy Year of Cultural Exchanges" we are launching the Designers' Table Craft & Design Project Proposal Contest, a collaboration project for young designers from Korea and Italy.

🇮🇹 Contest Overview🇰🇷

• Category: Project proposals for all elements shaping Korean and Italian food culture, including cooking tools and utensils, table settings, and dining ware. (Product specifications: Within W100cm × D50cm × H50cm or the total of the three dimensions must not exceed 200cm)
• Participants: A total of six individuals (teams) will be selected (individual entries or teams of up to two members).
• Application Period: March 17 (Mon) – April 21(Mon), 2025
• Eligibility: Young designers (ages 20-39) of Italian nationality residing in Italy, actively working in the craft and design field (with English proficiency)
• Support Provided:
  • Prototype production Fee: €1,300 per individual/team.
  • Mentoring sessions and Online workshop
  • Exchange exhibitions: Support for exhibitions in the Seoul Design Festival (Korea) and an exhibition in Milan (Italy) in November 2025.
  • Promotion through mass media and social media In both Korea and Italy

• Project Proposal: A proposal outlining the concept and intent relevant to the contest category (Approximately 5 pages, PDF file, maximum 10MB, free format)
• Portfolio: Include various works, exhibition activities, designer introduction (resume), design philosophy, etc. (Approximately 5-10 pages, PDF file, maximum 10MB, free format)

🇮🇹Evaluation Criteria & Method🇰🇷

Evaluation Process : The final 6 individuals (team) will be selected through a two round online and offline evaluation
• A panel of experts performs the evaluation based on the evaluation criteria
